The Innovation Kick-Start Fund helps HKBU students turn creative ideas into viable start-ups and impactful social solutions across all tech and non-tech tracks. Whether you are at the idea stage, building an early prototype, or preparing to launch, our funding and competition give you the platform to showcase your vision, learn from peers and gain feedback from industry experts. Through hands-on workshops, expert mentorship, expanded networks, and co-working space, we equip you with the necessary tools and skills you need to bring your project to life and succeed.
Objectives
⟡ Foster innovation and entrepreneurial thinking among HKBU students.
⟡ Support students in transforming ideas into real-world solutions.
⟡ Provide funding, mentorship, and incubation opportunities.
⟡ Create positive impact through innovation, collaboration, and community engagement.

** PREVIOUSLY FUNDED PROJECTS
Projects that have previously won Startup Saturday or received funding through the Social Innovation Kick-Start Fund are not eligible.
Timeline
Application Procedure
- Each HKBU student in the startup teams must complete one training course from Innovation and Entrepreneurial Learning (IEL) Series and TriAngle Genius Bar respectively.
- Complete the online application form HERE along with the Team List and Business Plan ppt(not more than 12 slides)*
