Silver Hub

The "Silver Hub" project aims to tackle poverty and social isolation among Hong Kong's elderly. Research indicates over 580,000 seniors aged 65+ live in poverty, with solitary and dual elderly households reaching 260,000, and a social isolation rate of 45.1%. Our target group is isolated or impoverished seniors, especially those eager to use their skills and knowledge in social activities. Our online platform allows seniors to post skills or services, earning experiences or vouchers upon task completion. Besides, our offline workshops facilitate community interaction, while we train seniors as mentors, offering economic and social benefits. The project empowers seniors through skill sharing and job opportunities, enhancing their economic status, social connections, reducing isolation, and improving life quality.
