Bridging Experiential Service-Learning & Empathy in the Co-Design of Gerontechnology & Assistive Technology

 

 
 

The Centre for Innovative Service-Learning (CISL) is pleased to invite you to a forthcoming talk titled Bridging Experiential Service-Learning and Empathy in the Co-Design of Gerontechnology and Assistive Technology.

We are honoured to welcome Dr James Kah, Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Vice Dean of Outreach and Special Projects at the College of Design and Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS), as our esteemed speaker. Dr Kah is an expert in integrating service-learning with technology design for the elderly and individuals with disabilities.

This workshop will showcase the incorporation of experiential and community-based learning approach into formal curriculum, highlighting the potential for undergraduate courses to drive meaningful community impact through the development and application of assistive technologies.
