Registration of Courses with Service-Learning Components

21 Jun 2019

The Centre for Innovative Service-Learning is compiling a list of academic service-learning courses for sending to students before the course registration period and for showing on SIS. We hope that interested students will learn about the array of courses that are on offer for making an informed choice.

The definition and requirements of service-learning courses are available on the CISL website. In brief, any courses which meet the following criteria are eligible:

  1. Students of this course will apply their academic knowledge and skills in a meaningful service project that addresses a community need by means of innovation
  2. They will spend a minimum of 10 hours in the service project (inclusive of service delivery, preparation and reflection)
  3. They will have direct interaction with the intended service users
  4. They will be provided with structured reflective opportunities

Please register online at on or before 8 August 2019.

Instructors applying for Service-Learning Mini-Grants do not need to register.
